Re-Car Racing and their driver Robbie Jones have left a tough Ipswish round on a positive. The Victorian based team went in with high hopes of building on their Winton success and have walked away with invaluable race mileage and car setup as they head into the closing half of the Fujitsu V8 Supercar Series.
The Queensland Raceway circuit proved to be quiet a challenge for Jones and his team. The car rolled off the back of the truck with niggling handling issues, requiring a number of major setup changes over the course of the weekend to improve the car.
“Practice was pretty exciting, I spent the whole time sideways speedway style” said Jones. “It certainly was a tough start to the round but I knew the crew would be able to sort out the problems.”
